In 2001, Omarion was the leading man of the Hip Hop/R&B boy band, B2k. The members along with Omarion are Raz-B (DeMario Thornton), J-Boog (Jarell Houston), and Lil Fizz (Dreux Frederic).
In 2002, They recorded their debut album, entitled B2k. Then, they released their sophomore album in late 2002, entitled Pandemonium.
In 2004, B2k disbanded right after their appearance in the film, You Got Served. Also, due to the fact J-Boog and Omarion were having problems. Omarion embarked on his solo career.
In 2005, Omarion released his debut album O. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and eventually went platinum. The 3 singles released from the album were the successful "O," the moderate success "Touch," and "I'm Tryna" (which failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100). He was also featured on Bow Wow's hit song "Let Me Hold You".
In 2006, Omarion released his sophomore album entitled 21. The first single was "Entourage", and his bandmate Lil Fizz is in the video. The new single "Ice Box", which was produced by Timbaland, is currently gaining significant radio airplay.
On December 26, 2006, Omarion stated while on 106 & Park that "Electric" might be his next single because of the buzz it has created from the recent Scream Tour.
He went on the scream tour with Pretty Ricky,Jibbs,Yung Joc,Sammie,One Chance, and Ne-Yo.
Omarion was in London at the time of the July 7th tube bombings. Whilst he was not near any of the stations nor did he travel on the London Underground during his stay; a press release was released on his behalf asking for people to pray for his safe return to the USA. This has given rise to many online communities (such as Fark) "praying for Omarion" whenever there is a disaster or terrorist attack.
